Introduction of Hainan Lingao

Lingao County is in the northwest of Hainan Island. Scenic spots include Lingaojiao, Tongxiang Summer Shades, Confucius Temple, Bairen Beach. Lingaojiao is the National Patriotic Educational Base for Children. The local “Lilimei” and puppet show are great traditional heritages. Since 2007, Lingao have held the Fishermen Festival once each year to celebrate the development of the fishery. Lingaojiao Liberation Park is in the north of Lingao County, 11 km to the town. China’s liberation army first landed on Hainan Island from Lingaojiao and liberated Hainan Island. The Hot Blood Monument was built in Lingaojiao. The Park was named the exemplary National Patriotic Educational Base in 2009.

Train: The Around-The-Island Railroad is being built, which will pass through planting bases of melons, fruits and vegetable in six towns and breeding base of the famous Dongjiang Rabbits. It will provide economic and convenient path to transport vegetable from south to the north in the future, and offer strong logistics support for the development of local economy.

Shipping:There are 7 shipping companies such as Yinghai and Hunshe, etc with scores of passenger ships and cargo ships for the marine transportation from Lingao to other places all over China. Two shipping lines to Hong Kong and Macao have been opened up.
