Introduction of Hainan Chengmai

Hainan has a long history, which dates back to Han Dynasty. In Western Han Dynasty, it was one of the most important cities in Hainan.

Hainan has a pleasant climate, and is full of resources for tourism. It not only has cultural relics such as Jinshan Temple, Wuxin Ruins, Old Town, Dacheng Temple, Guangde Bridge, Luoyi Lishi Shrine, it also has beautiful sceneries such as Jialongping Tropical Rain Forest, Jigong Mountain Scenic Spot. It has modern scenic spots for recreation, such as Yingbing Bandao Resort, Fushan Coffee Cultural Zone. It is full of specialties such as world-famous Fushan Coffee and Hongkanling Pottery. There are more than ten special foods such as Ruixi beef jerky, Fushan pork, Bailian goose, Yongfa lamb, Laocheng seafood. Tourists can enjoy the beautiful sceneries while tasting the delicacies.

Chengmai is in the Northwest of Hainan, connected with Haikou, the provincial capital. It is the first stop for tourism in the west area of Hainan. The Haiyu National Highway and West Highway, Yuehai Railway all go through the city, so the traffic is very convenient.

Destination Climate: It is located in tropical monsoon climate, with sufficient sunshine and abundant rainfall, mild climate without frost all year round. The average annual sunshine duration is 2017.6 hours, average annual precipitation 1790.7mm. Compared to eastern cities and counties of the province, it is located in calm wind surrounding with relatively little impact from typhoon.

 Traffic Information

Airline: 1. 80km to Meilan International Airport, 60 minutes by car
2. 60km from Haikou, 40 minutes by car

Bus: Take the bus to Jinjiang at West Haikou Bus Station, and it will go through Chengmai Old Town, and Chengmai County (Jinjiang).
