Xiaozhiyi Yi Ethnic Village Of Luxi County

Xiaozhiyi Yi Ethnic Village Of Luxi County

Xiaozhiyi is a Yi ethnic community in Luxi County of Honghe Yi and Hani Autonomous Prefecture. The whole village is composed of more than 130 households. In recent years, the village's economy has been bettered under the support and guidance of the local government. Surviving mainly on farming, the villagers have preserved distinctive and primitive traditional culture that is of special interest to photographers and "minority fans".
The villagers call themselves "Xiao Bai Yi" as a branch of the Yi ethnic minority. (Pictures from yn.xinhuanet.com)
