Xiaozhiyi Yi Ethnic Village Of Luxi County
Xiaozhiyi is a Yi ethnic
community in Luxi County of Honghe Yi and Hani Autonomous Prefecture.
The whole village is composed of more than 130 households. In recent
years, the village's economy has been bettered under the support and
guidance of the local government. Surviving mainly on farming, the
villagers have preserved distinctive and primitive traditional culture
that is of special interest to photographers and "minority fans".
The villagers call themselves "Xiao Bai Yi" as a branch of the Yi ethnic minority. (Pictures from yn.xinhuanet.com)
