Baoshan, The Land Burning With Passion
Located
in West Yunnan, Baoshan covers 1 city and 4 counties; most parts of
Baoshan exhibit tropical and sub-tropical climates. Baoshan is adjacent to
Lincang and Nujiang in the east and north respectively.

to as Yongchang in old times, Baoshan used to be a vital station as

as the final stage on the South Silk Road, where commercial undertakings were
quite frequent and active. In the World War Two, Baoshan served as the front in
West Yunnan; the world-famous Yunnan-Myanmar Road also added to its fame a
lot. Baoshan is also home to 14 minority groups who have toiled and multiplied
on this land for centuries. Main scenic attractions include Tengchong Hot Sea Geo
Park, Yunfeng Mt., Martyrs’ Grave Yard, Heshun Ancient Town, and Bo’nan Ancient
Passage etc.
