What astonishes visitors is that there
are over 1,000 indigenous tamarind
and kapok trees among which a 1,600-year-old tamarind tree is locally
regarded as "Tamarind King" because it needs 6 adults to encircle.
In 2010, Leiding Village was listed into the third batch of "special
tourist villages" of Yunnan Province.
