Ledong Li Autonomous County has a lot of resources and great talents.
It is called the town of bananas. The county has an area of 2763.2
sq.km, and a sea area of 1726.8 sq.km. The population is more than
500,000, of which 200,000 belong to minority groups. The county has 11
towns, of which 6 are ethnic towns. There are 188 village committees, of
which 102 are ethnic village committees. There are 606 villages, and
439 villages are ethnic villages. Ledong has three state-owned farms and
Yingge Sea Salt Field. Ledong is the biggest autonomous county with the
largest population and highly-developed culture.

Traffic Information
Train: East circular railway will be put into use by
the end of this year, and the west circular railway will be put into use
next year, which will shorten the time to travel from Changjiang to
Haikou to only 35 minutes.
Shipping: The county has 4 harbors, which are Changhua Harbor, Haiwei Harbor, Xin Harbor, Shayutang Harbor. Changhua Harbor is mainly a commercial harbor. Changhua fishing ground is a natural fishing ground, and one of the biggest fishing grounds in South China.
Road: Changjiang’s land traffic is very convenient. It is 190km from Haikou, 210km from Sanya, 100km from Yangpu Port, 40km from Basuo Port (all the way on highway). The raods connect every part of the county, and most villages and towns have roads now.
Bus: Changjiang County’s public transportation system is advanced, with 10 deluxe buses in the downtown area. There are also more than 30 buses connecting different towns and scenic spots.
Taxi: The county has two taxi companies.

Season Features: The weather is warm throughout the year in Ledong.
Travel Taboo: When people from the Li ethnic group are brewing wine, they will hang a leaf on the door, which means no strangers allowed inside. Don’t call girls “Xiaojie”, especially in venues for entertainment. You can call them “Xiaomei” or “Ayi”.
Special Information: Tourists need to wear flat shoes, and use sun block. Please wear long-sleeved coats and pants to avoid bug bites when climbing the mountains. Ledong is full of all kinds of fruits, coconuts, mangos, betel, pineapples, and jackfruit. You can find them at the street vendors, but don’t eat too much.
