Hunan Endeavors to Express the Charm of Traditional Culture with Arts

The press conference for “New Channel: Art Illuminates Tradition” was held on December 1 in Changsha, Hunan. The event, centering on art education and inheritance, is an endeavor of Hunan Province to boost nonprofit art undertakings and to bring more attention to the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritages.

Photographs, videos, and websites that record the culture of Dong people, together with featured household articles of Dong people, and paintings of children from Dongxiang Village were showcased at the artwork exhibition.

Dong folk performances were presented by the Tongdao County of Hunan Province, enchanting the audience with fascinating Dong folk cultures.

Deputy Director of the Hunan Tourism Bureau Xiong Jian, Division Chief Huang Ke, Chief of the High and Innovative Technology Division of the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Department Liu Tiebing, Deputy Head of the Tongdao County, Hunan Province Xiang Fuhe, Dean of the School of Design at Hunan University He Renke, and Deputy Dean Ji Tie presented at the press conference.
