Highways
The highway network of Hunan is being perfected with each passing day. All the cities, districts, counties, townships and towns are linked by highways, and a highway system consisting of national highways, provincial highways and county (township) roads has been formed. Tourists can travel easily by bus in Hunan Province.
Changsha
National roads No.319, 107 and 106 meet in the suburbs of Changsha forming a highway net radiating to all directions of Hunan Province as well as the whole country. Changsha has three long-distance bus stations: East Bus Station, South Bus Station and West Bus Station. Long-distance buses leave Changsha for Ganzhou, Hefei, Nanchang, Xiamen, and main cities in Hunan, such as Shaoshan and Yiyang everyday.

Zhuzhou
In the bustling shopping center of Zhuzhou, Zhuzhou South Bus Station sends long-distance buses to other cities in Hunan and other provinces regularly.

Xiangtan
No. 107 national highway from Beijing to Shenzhen, and No. 320 national highway from Shanghai to Kunming meet in Xiangtan. The Xiangtan-Changsha section of the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway has been completed. Long-distance buses go from the Xiangtan Long-distance Bus Station to Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanchang and other cities.

Yueyang
Yueyang has four long-distance bus stations: Yueyang Bus Station, North Jianshe Road Bus Station, Baling Bus Station and East Baling Road Bus Station. Passenger buses mainly go from Yueyang to Guangzhou, Nanning, Wuhan, Changsha and other cities.

Yiyang
The passenger transport arteries in Yiyang consist of the Changsha-Guangzhou Expressway, G319, S308, S204 and G207 highways. Passenger buses leave the bus stations in Yiyang for cities in Hunan and other neighboring provinces regularly.

Loudi
Two national highways and two provincial highways pass through Loudi. The Shanghai-Ruili Expressway, Loudi-Xiangtan Highway and Loudi-Lianyuan Highway also pass through Loudi, forming a convenient highway network.

Hengyang
A highway network of Hengyang has taken shape. The Central Bus Station and Linghu Bus Station in Hengyang have long-distance buses to some 50 some cities in China, such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Guilin, Fenghuang, Ganzhou and Ji'an.

Chenzhou
Chenzhou boasts developed highway networks. The general bus station close to the Railway Station and Tianlong Bus Station in the development zone have regular buses to cities and scenic areas in and out the province such as Guangzhou, Changsha, Donghu and Feitianshan.

Yongzhou
Yongzhou is reached by Nos. 322 and 207 national highways and the Hengyang-Kunming Expressway. Long-distance buses go from the Yongzhou North Station to Guangzhou, Changsha, Guilin .and buses run from the Yongzhou West Station and Zhishan Bus Station to the other parts of Hunan.

Zhangjiajie
An expressway from Changsha passes through Zhangjiajie. Tourists can take long-distance buses at the Changsha West Bus Station in Zhangjiajie to travel between the two cities. Buses depart from either terminal at 7:00 a.m., and then leave every hour.

Changde
The highways in Changde radiate to all directions. National Highways 319 and 207 run through the city from east to west; Changsha-Changde Expressway has come into use; and the construction of Changde-Zhangjiajie Expressway is in full swing. Highways from Changde reach Changsha, Xiangtan, Zhangjiajie and other cities in Hunan Province and Shanghai, Xi'an, Shantou, Wenzhou, Wuchang, Luoyang, Guilin and Nanjing.

Xiangxi
  Nos. 209 and 319 national highways and No.1828 provincial highway run through Xiangxi (West Hunan). Together with Zhicheng-Liuzhou Railway, they form an artery network of transport in this region. Expressways leading to Zhangjiajie and Huaihua are under construction.

Shaoyang
The section of Shanghai-Ruili Expressway and No. 320 national highway make up the central axis of the highway network in Shaoyang, supplemented by such provincial and county highways as G207, S217, S218, S219, S220 and S221 that stretch out from north to south like the veins of a tree leaf.

There are three bus stations in Huaihua City: The Central, South and West Bus Station. Passengers can go to Yuanling, Zhijiang and other cities by bus.
