Guocun Roast Chicken
With
a history of more than 300 years, Guocun roast chicken enjoys a great
reputation in the county of Shangqiu. This dish is characterized by
strong fragrance, good taste, and tender flesh. In addition, if you hold
it by the two legs and shake it gently, when the chicken is well
cooked, the meat and its bone can be easily separated.
In the 1950s, Meng Zhaoxing, the creator of the Guocun roast
chicken, twice participated in a cooking contest in Henan and was
acclaimed as the “Roast Chicken Expert”.
