Changde Silk String is a kind of popular folk art in Dongting Lake area, and it can be dated back to the Ming Dynasty. It takes cymbalo, pipa, three-stringed, Jinghu and two-stringed Chinese fiddle and other stringed instruments as accompanying musical instruments. It is usually fused with Changde dialect. It has short speaking and singing cantos, and it can present large-scale stories.
