DATE:25-10-2011
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1911 (Xinhai) Revolution that ended imperial rule in China, one hundred calligraphers and painters across Taiwan Straits created a 100-meter painting in Zhangjiajie on October 8.
Seventy calligraphers and painters from the mainland China and thirty ones from Taiwan were invited to participate in the activity, including Gu Yun, president of the China Mao Calligraphers Association, Pang Xianbo, vice president of the China Arts Society, Gong Chaoyang, chairman of the Taiwan's Chinese Calligraphy Association, He Zhengyi, secretary general of the Chinese Calligraphy Association, and water color artist Chen Yangchun from Taiwan.
At the scene, calligraphers wrote down the brilliant deeds of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, forerunner of the Chinese democratic revolution, while painters painted their good visions through picturesque Zhangjiajie, meaningful pine and crane, as well as flying dragon of China.
