2012 Xiang Cuisine Industry Promotion Week Flame Lit on Mount Heng (Hunan)

2012 Xiang Cuisine Industry Promotion Week was launched by Hunan Xiang Cuisine Industry Promotion Council on Mount Heng ( Hunan) on the morning of June 5. Initiated in 2011, this event highlights the theme of " Showcasing Xiang Cuisine Culture to the World".
A series of activities such as lighting 2012 Xiang cuisine flame, sacrificing ceremony for God of Fire", international gourmet competition, Xiang Cuisine exhibition in Beijing will draw the world attention. After Ssome solemn sacrificing ceremonies started at 11:00 am. After reciting elegies, burning incense sticks and Buddhist blessing, Hunan cuisine saintess lit the flame, a symbol of food culture in a bronze tripod. The torch will be escorted to Changsha Huogongdian ( Fire Place) --- a prestigious Xiang food hall.
