The Former Residence Of Nie'er

The Former Residence Of Nie'er

Mr. Nie’er whose original hometown is Yuxi was born in Kunming in
1912. He is a famous Chinese musician composing the national anthem
of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). It is great pity that he
was drowned on the way to Japan in 1935.
The former residence of Nie’er is on Yongdao Street near the Jingxing
Bird and Flower Market (downtown) of Kunming. Listed as a key historical
and cultural site of Yunnan Province in 2003, the place has been developed
into a memorial hall opened to public in June 2011.
