Dongba Kingdom

at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to the north of Lijiang

Dongba Kingdom is a state 2A-level scenic spot aimed to inherit and develop Dongba
Culture of the Naxi Minority in Lijiang Area.

spot is composed of two major parts: Dongba Culture and ancient
villages of the
Naxi ancestors. What highlights the Dongba Culture is: (1)-Dongba Hieroglyph which
has been listed as a world memory heritage and dubbed as “the unique ‘living’
picture-like words in the world”; (2)-The Painting of the Spiritual Route that is
deemed “the longest ancient religious painting”.
