The Great Bend Of The Yangtze
Benzilan Town is seated on the river bank
of the Yangtze (locally called
“Jinsha River”). The viewing stand for the Great Bend is about 10 km
from Benzilan. Overlooking from the stand, you will find the ribbon-like
river running along the mountain foot to form a U-shaped bend. That is
the Great Bend. The river, whose water looks red, runs southwards all
the year round to make people believe that it is the vein of the earth.
