Yuxi, An Emerald In Central Yunnan

Yuxi, An Emerald In Central Yunnan

In history, Yuxi was one of the main passages between Dian (Yunnan) and
other parts of China. The typical bronze ware of “Bull-tiger Bronze Table”
shines the wisdom of ancient Dian people in the Han Dynasty. This land has
nurtured the soul of Chinese folk music; it is the hometown of Nie’er
(1912-1935), the composer of PRC national anthem, and Qu Huanzhang,
the inventor of Yunnan Baiyao Medicine. Yuxi is also the foundation of the
 biggest tobacco industry enterprise-Hongta Group.
Main scenic attractions of Yuxi are Nie’er Park, Huixi Park, Fuxian Lake in
Chengjiang, Xiushan Mt. Park in Tonghai, Ailao Mt. Natural Reserve, and
Flowery Dai Eco-cultural Village in Xinping etc.
