Keyi Yi Ethnic Eco Tourist Village

Keyi is a Yi ethnic village 21 km north from the county seat of Mi'le, or 25 km
from the Stone Forest Resort.
In the Yi ethnic dialect, “Ke Yi” means “an auspicious place”. Keyi Village is made
up of some 200 households, all of whom are Ahxi People-a branch of the Yi ethnic
minority. Keyi Village exhibits as well a massive vegetation coverage of 80% thus
 is an authentic “eco village”.
Exploited and sorted systematically by artists for years, the folk dances choreographed
by villagers themselves have evolved into the famous dance named “Ah Xi Tiao Yue”
(Ahxi People Dance in the Moonlight) that enjoys a nationwide popularity.
