Honghe, A Poetic Land

Honghe, A Poetic Land

Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture is situated in South Yunnan, and
borders Vietnam in its south. It’s named after Honghe or the Red River, an
unceasing river running through Yunnan to Viet Nam. It features karst landform
in its north while the tropical sceneries in the south frontier are most intriguing.
Honghe exhibits diversified ethnic cultures of Yi, Hani, Yao, Dai and Miao
minorities etc.
Major scenic attractions include the Swallow Cave, A’lu Ancient Cave,
Yunnan-Vietnam Railway, Jianshui Ancient Town, Jianshui Confucian Temple,
Family Zhu’s Garden, the Former Customs House of Mengzi, Bise Railway Station
 and Hani Terraced Fields etc.
