De’hong
Prefecture lies in West Yunnan and borders with Myanmar in
its west and northwest. Every inch of land in Dehong smells of fragrance
and provokes passionate love. De’hong is also the cozy home to Jingpo
and Dai who celebrate Munaozongge Carnival and Water Splashing Festival
to their hearts’ content. Wanding and Ruili are two state-level ports to get
access to Myanmar. Ruili, best known for its jewel business, is regarded
as “A Pearl Port” and “A City of Jewels” in Southwest China. It is the home
of peacocks; it’s De’hong.
