Meizi (Plum) Lake Park

Meizi (Plum) Lake Park

Being a state 2A-level scenic spot in the southeast of Simao District of Pu’er
Municipality, Meizi (Plum) Lake Park derives its name from Meizihe River on
which a man-made reservoir was built for the purpose of irrigation. The lake
covers an area of some 2.67 square km.
Meizi Lake is 3.5 km long; its water area is 600 Mu (Chinese acre) and its
average depth is 15 meters. For sightseeing, boating facilities have been
equipped. In particular, on the lake shore, there are pavilions and archaized
architectures, and corridors to display the calligraphic works of the local literati.
