Dai Ethnic Garden

Dai Ethnic Garden

The Dai Ethnic Garden is 28 km from Jinghonh, the capital city of Xishuangbanna
Prefecture in South Yunnan. It is composed of five Dai ethnic villages of Manjiang,
Manchunman, Manting, Manza and Manga. The villagers of the 300 households of
these five villages all belong to the Dai Ethnic Minority.
The garden is the miniature of the Dai ethnic group living in Xishuangbanna. It
functions to display the Dai ethnic culture to visitors. Once paying a visit to it,
one will be impressed by the pastoral sceneries, the primitive and unsophisticated
bamboo residences, and the hospitable villagers. Manchuanman Temple and Manting
Temple both enjoying a long history of over 1,000 years are the pilgrimage
 destinations for Theravada.
