Established in March 2001, the Charming Xiangxi Theater is one of the largest theaters in western Hunan. After eight years' development, it has become a famous tourism culture performance entity of China with distinctive and rich western Hunan characteristics, enjoying high reputation and fame in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other Chinese communities as well as South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and other places. The Charming Xiangxi Grand Theatre, which can accommodate 1080 people, is located in the scenic spot of Zhangjiajie World Geopark and Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Area boasting picturesque landscape and towering wonderful mountains. Its antique, elegant and profound flavor blends perfectly with the natural landscape of Wulingyuan. The performances in the theater reflect rich folk culture of western Hunan. The performance entitled "Charming Western Hunan" is a large comprehensive campfire gala. The actors are basically the compatriots of Miao, Tujia and other nationalities. Mysterious martial art of western Hunan, adventurous hard Qigong, charnel corpse driving, original and antique western Hunan flavor and unimaginable fantasy world are all included in the performance.
