Located 23 km southwest to Sanya, the tourist spot Tianyahaijiao, or
the Corner of the Earth, is the icon of Hainan. It got its name from the
carvings of Tianya, edge of the universe, and Haijiao, or Corner of the
Earth on two huge rocks in the zone written by Guo Moruo, a famous
writer in China. Tianyahaijiao is renowned for its charm of tropical
coast and the unique culture heritage and mellow history. The brand
Tianyahaijiao is the most valuable asset of Hainan. With the deep blue
sea, the vivid mountains and white sand, rugged rocks and reefs forming a
fantastic painting. In the dusk, you can see the southern-flavored view
consisting of coconut trees, billow, fishing boats, sea gulls and rosy
clouds.
