The Former Residence Of General Luo Binghui
Luo Binghui (1897-1946), former name Luo Defu, was born in a peasant family
in Adushe Village of Jiaokui Town, Yiliang County (彝良). He once participated
in the North Expedition War (1916-1928) against the Beiyang Government
based in Beijing during the Republic of China (1911-1949), and took the
posts such as the commander of the Second Company of the Sixth Corps
of the Red Army, and deputy commander of the New Fourth Army and
Shandong Military Region before 1949.
His
former residence, as a memorial, is 5 km from Yiliang county seat.
In 1987, the State Council of the R.P.C. appropriated special fund to
construct three wood-and-earth structure rooms for Mr. Luo's memorial.

Facing
south, these 13-meter-long and 7-meter-wide rooms cover a total
area of some 120 square meters. In addition, a wider area of up to
2,000 square meters has been further incorporated for the memorial
including a stone tablet as the landmark.

So far, this site has been listed as a key historical and cultural relic of
Yunnan Province.

National Government and joined by warlords under it, the war was
against the Beiyang Government based in Beijing and those warlords
affiliated to it. The war symbolised the nominal unification of the Republic
