Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhangjiajie)

Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhangjiajie)

DATE:08-06-2011
What’s On: Like many Chinese, the Tujia people celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. They eat the moon cake but are not very keen to appreciate the moon. An interesting act on this occasion is that the Tujia people steal wax gourds and present them to couples who have no children, implying delivery of babies to them.
Time: The 15th day of the eighth lunar month
Venue: Zhangjiajie
