Imitations of the Tri-colored Glazed Pottery of the Tang Dynasty






The three-colored glazed pottery for decoration purpose made during the Tang Dynasty is referred to as "tangsancai". Artisans in Van and Qianxian County, by relying on the particularly favorable historical conditions, succeeded in making imitations of Tang-style tricolored pottery figurines, horses, camels and utensils.
