Hunan Opera is a famous local opera of Changsha, which was introduced into Changsha from Jiangxi in Ming Dynasty and sung in Zhongzhou Yun and Changsha dialect. Traditional plays are mainly on historic topics, among which Fish Chasing is extremely famous and Lute on the Road, Mountain Ghost and other plays have won national awards. A Hunan Opera theatre is established at Pozi Street, Changsha, which intoxicates many theatergoers.
