Lying in the west of Henan Province as an
important part of the geographical division of Northern China and
Southern China, the famous Funiu Mountains of the highest average
altitude and the largest acreage among all the mountains in the Province
boasts of the largest forest, the highest forest coverage and the

The Funiu Mountains is fully qualified for a new exquisite biologic tour
zone of Henan with its rich biologic resources, wide coverage, unique
characters and great market potentials. Situated in central China on the
watershed of three water systems namely the Changjiang River, Yellow
River and Huaihe River, Funiu Mountains has quite a few natural reserves
of national class. Extending for 400 kilometers, it has biologic
resources of great diversity and a unique landscape characterized by
both the elegance of southern China and the majesty of the northern
China. The Baiyun Mountain (the White-cloud Mountain), a natural reserve
of national class in area of Funiu Mountains, is recognized as the “Top

clusters found in Xixia County are regarded as the “most shocking
scientific discovery of the world” in the 20th century and the “Ninth
Wonder of the World”. In addition to natural beauties, Funiu Mountains
also has glorious human sights such as the Feudal Government of the
Neixiang County, the Wuhou Temple, the Tomb of Zhang Heng, the Native
Place of Mozi and the splendid water source of the water-diverting
project. Hot-springs can be widely found within the area, of which the
Lushan hot-spring cluster is one of the largest in central China. Karst
caves in the area are quite superior in north China and central China
for their large size, majestic air, fancy beauty and rich biologic
sources. Situated in an area adjoining Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei, it has a

others in west and central China standing around. To the north of Funiu
Mountains is the hot tour line linking Zhengzhou, Kaifeng and Luoyang
