Dragon Boat Race (Yueyang)

What’s On: The Dragon Boat Race is held to commemorate Quyuan, a grate patriotic poet on the Miluo River every year. During the festival, every household hangs calamus leaves on the door, drinks realgar wine, and sets off realgar firecrackers so as to avoid evil spirits.

Time: The fifth day of the fifth lunar month (around June)
