Shizimo,
literally meaning pebble pancake, is baked on the surface of hot
pebbles. Cooked in a primitive method and with a long history, the main
ingredients of the pebble cakes include flour, fat, plant oil, salt,
anise, wild pepper, and green onion. Shizimo is yellow and bright on the
outside, soft and salty on the inside, and looks like a big oval in
which there are many layers. It smells and tastes good and can be kept
for quite a long time.
