Helou noodles

Helou noodles

Helou noodles, local special noodles, are made from coarse food grains which lack stickiness; and because of the lack of stickiness they are quite easily misshapen and are not so delicious in flavor. However, with the specialized tool made by local people, the coarse food grains can be turned into delicious noodles.
Helou Noodles can be eaten either cold or fried. When eaten cold, they are dressed with salt, monosodium glutamate, vinegar, chopped green onion, mashed garlic, and sesame oil. You can also add mustard and pepper oil if you like it spicy. People are pleased when they eat the delicious, appetizing, spicy and tender Helou noodles. You can also fry the noodles by adding scallions, bean sprouts, celery, and leeks; or pork slices or chicken slices. The fried noodles are fragrant, sticky, and delicious so the aftertaste is marvelous.
