Chinese Kiwi Fruit grows in the Xixia, Neixiang, Nanzhao, and
Tongbai
Counties in the Funiu and Tongbai
mountainous area. The Kiwi contains such nutrients as vitamin C and D,
fat, protein, and minerals, as well as amino acid, which is necessary
for the human body. The fruit is an ideal food for special staff
members, such as pilots, seamen, and miners as well as the old, weak,
sick and disabled. The seeds of the kiwi fruit contain oil and can be
used for industrial purposes.
Kiwi fruits produced in Xixia are in better quality. New varieties of
the kiwi such as: 7951 and Huasheng NO. 2 were cultivated by scientists.
They are praised by experts home and abroad. Now
Xixia
County has become the production base for Chinese Kiwi Fruits in
China.
