There are as many as six or seven different kinds of traditional dishes in Anyang: such as the refined “Hai braised dishes” and “Shang braised dishes” made of high-quality materials, the economical “Hang braised dishes” made of common materials, the “braised flat Chinese vermicelli dishes” with simple materials, etc. According to the cooking vessel used, some are named “Bean curd Casserole” or “Seafood Casserole”. Anyang braised dishes are famous local specialties for their various kinds of well-chosen ingredients, delicious soup, and rich nutrition.
