Jiaozuo Dried Persimmons

Jiaozuo Dried Persimmons

Jiaozuo Dried Persimmons are made by peeling and drying the persimmons, then putting them into a big jar sealed with clay. In this way, the persimmons are covered with a sweet white frost. Different from others, Jiaozuo Dried Persimmons are drier, smaller, and do not go bad easily. If you cut a dried persimmon open, you will find the core is hollow with some cracks around in it, which is like a chrysanthemum flower. Jiaozuo Dried Persimmons taste best in winter and are mainly used to make cakes and sometimes, soup and desserts.
