Hanyang Mausoleum





     Hanyang Mausoleum, where the Emperor Jing named Li Qi and Empress Wang of the Western Han Dynasty were buried together, was listed among the first batch of key cultural relics for protection in Shaanxi Province in 1956. The yard contains dozens of cultural relics and historic sites of different categories, among which there are more than 150 ancillary tombs in four locations where nearly fifty thousand pieces of precious cultural relics were unearthed including the colored nude pottery figurines reputed as Oriental David and Venus. Hanyang Mausoleum has not only numerous historic sites and exquisite cultural relics with profound cultural significance, but also enchanting natural scenery. The yard has integrated the pleasant nature and tranquil rural scenery with profound human culture in a harmonious way.
