Lying in the middle of Ningxia, Wuzhong City governs 1 county-level city of Qingtongxia, 2 counties of Yanchi and Tongxin, and Hongsipu Development Zone. Covering an area of 2,020 square km, Wuzhong has a population of 1.28 million, 48% of which are the Hui ethnic group.
Wuzhong boasts of comfortable investment environment and convenient communications. It is accessible from all directions due to the advanced and convenient communications network, including the already-operating Baotou-Lanzhou Railway, and the Baoji-Zhongwei Railway, Gantangzi-Wuwei Railway and Zhongwei-Taiyuan Railway, listed in the tenth five-year plan of China.
