Village In Cave
The in-cave village is located at Nanping
Township, 120 km in the
southeast of Guangnan county seat, Wenshan Prefecture. Although the
tree-shrouded cave measures less than 1,000 m2, a little smaller than
a football playground, it is home to 280 people of 56 families whose
9 generations have been dwelling in the cave for over 2 centuries.
The extraordinary environment and peculiar ways of life have made
the place “the most unusual village in China”.
