Hangzhou - A City Of A Beautiful Lake
Paired with Suzhou, Hangzhou is known
for its heavenly appeal. Its beauty is attributed to the legend-any West
Lake, which has been an inspiration to a large number of poets and
painters throughout centuries in China. Around the lake are |

wooded mountains and many historic relics worth seeing. Longjing, the
best brand of China 's green tea, is a must for visitors to Hangzhou.
There are also a Tea Museum and the Longjing Village, a small village
nestled in the mountain that grows the most famous tea in the country.
Lake side streets on the south and west have been recently renovated
into stylish shopping and leisure strips. The fashion outlets, tea
houses, cafes, restaurants and hotels give the city a more modern
appearance. One of such spots is Xi Hu Tian Di, an idea inspired by the
Xintiandi in Shanghai. Situated on Nanshan Road on the west side of the
Lake, it is a complex of fancy restaurants, cafes and bars. What makes
it different from Xintiandi is that it features a stunning view of the
West Lake. Hangzhou is about two hours by train and about three hours by
car from Shanghai.
