Nan'en Waterfalls In Xinping

Nan'en Waterfalls In Xinping

Nan’en, a Dai ethnic word, means “silver-white water”. Nan’en
waterfalls are situated on the upper reaches of Nan’en River, 25
kilometers away from Jiasa, the hometown of Huayao Dai (Flowery Dai)
in Xinping County of Yuxi Municipality.
Nan’en River originates from the dense primeval forests of the Ai’lao
Mountain where clouds can be seen floating picturesquely and the
rainfalls are plentiful. The water of the river has formed multi-level
waterfalls with the highest drop of about 100 meters.
