A Gala Evening to Celebrate Wudang Mountain's 600th Anniversary

On July 30, a third preliminary meeting for the Wudang Mountain 600th Anniversary since the overhaul by Emperor Yongle of Yuan Dynasty (AD 1403-1424), took place at the sports center in Shiyan city, Hubei province. Different departments discussed their work and announced plans for an evening gala to be held on Sept 27.

The local transportation department has prepared vehicles and the tourism department has printed 5,000 copies of a handbook for Wudang Mountain. Other staff are busy preparing for the tourism signing ceremony.

The environmental protection department is redecorating the city. The Municipal Party Committee has recruited 1,100 volunteers and is planning an etiquette training session for them.

The mayor emphasized that all preparations should be finished by Sept. 15. The evening gala will be broadcast on CCTV. The publicity department will cooperate closely with CCTV and Hubei TV to promote the event.
