Guanglu Ancient Town

Guanglu is 12 km north from the county seat of Yao’an. Surrounded by
mountains and rivers, the architecture complex of Guanglu is laid out
in a model of a Chinese character –“坤” which means “the Earth”
in the Eight Diagrams. Guanglu was historically an important station
of the “South Silk Road” to link Yunnan and Southeast Asian and India.
Lonhhua Temple of Guanglu town, first built in Tianyou Period of the
Tang Dynasty was among the oldest temples in Yunnan Province. On each
lunar February 8th, “Longhua Temple Fair” is held for locals to stage
 folk cultural shows and trade fair.
