Paradise on earth: Mount Tiantang in winter

Situated to the north of Changning County in southwest China's Yunnan Province, Mount Tiantang is about 30 kilometers from south to north, and two kilometers from east to west. The mountain is the birthplace of three major rivers in Changning County - Youdian River, Datianba River, and Ganlan River. The forest coverage rate of the mountain has reached 95.1 percent. With an average altitude of over 2,400 meters, and the highest peak of 2,875 meters, the biodiversity of Mount Tiantang is well preserved. "Tiantang" means paradise in English. Therefore, the mountain is regarded as "A lost paradise on the earth".
