It is the theatre with the longest history and biggest stage for Beijing Opera in Shanghai. After its reopen in 1994, as a specialized theatre mainly for Beijing Opera, Yi Fu Theatre stages about 420 operas every year, which wins him the reputation of “Beijing Opera's big stage”. Yi Fu Theatre has a stage area of 196 square meters and 928 audience seats.
