     From 8:00pm to 
2:00am everyday, the Old Jazz Bar of Peace Hotel becomes the most 
popular place for Shanghai expatriates. In such an English countryside 
style bar with an exotic atmosphere, you can enjoy a sip of fragrant 
Italian or Irish coffee and specially prepared cocktails, and you may 
enjoy the Jazz music, popular in the 30's and 40's played by the Old 
Jazz Band.  
         
      Founded in 1980, the Peace Hotel Old Jazz Band is one of the most 
famous jazz bands in Shanghai . It is composed of six veteran musicians,
 whose average age is above 75. 
       
      In Jazz bar, the band has entertained millions of guests from 
around world, such as the former USA president Mr. Carter and Mr. 
Reagan, the French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, the Australian Prime 
Minister Paul Kyten, the Hollend Prime Minister Viam Kirk. And the 
presidents from Italy, Portugal, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico have 
left with good memories of beautiful nights spent in Shanghai.The Band 
has given performances in Japan, the United States, Singapore, Hongkong 
and Taiwan all being received with warm applause.  
       
      The Old Jazz Bar was once recommended as the world best bar by the
 U.S. "News Week"in 1996. As the Peace Hotel is being upgraded, the Band
 has moved to Huating Hotel & Towers.  |

Completed in 1999, the Shanghai Circus World covers an area of 22,500m2.
 It's a brand new scenic spot for cultural tourism that integrating 
circus, acrobatic, magic, dancing and music performances. It's another 
new landmark structure for international cultural exchange in Shanghai.
  
As “China 's No. 1 Circus World”, it has an acrobatic field as its main 
body, which has 1,638 seats. The field is equipped with modern lighting 
facilities, stereo surrounding sound systems, and platforms, suspension 
bars, suspension curtains and a digital tuning station controlled by 
computers. The design of the performance area has made a breakthrough of
 the traditional style. A rotating stage, an elevating stage and a 
picture-frame stage are set up at the performance area, which meets the 
requirement of acrobatic and circus competitions and performances, as 
well as providing an excellent space for general dancing and music 
performances.
   
Shanghai Circus World has been well known internationally for many years
 for its resident company, the Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe with its 
brilliant performers, variety of acts, superb acrobatic skills and 
dynamic artistic vision characterizing the unique style of Shanghai 
Circus World. 
  
Shanghai Circus World has built sales networks in the world's major 
circus venues. This has led to the attraction of the world's best circus
 and acrobatics programs to China. It has organized presentations of

Lyceum Theatre, established in 1930, was once altered the name into 
Shanghai Art Theater in 1952. In 1991, it reused the original name of 
Lyceum Theatre. Functioning as a stage for dramas, small-scale musicals,

Yi Fu Theatre was once crowned as “No. 1 Theatre in Far East ”. It is 
the theatre with the longest history and biggest stage for Beijing Opera
 in Shanghai. After its reopen in 1994, as a specialized theatre mainly 
for Beijing Opera, Yi Fu Theatre stages about 420 operas every year, 
which wins him the reputation of “Beijing Opera's big stage”. Yi Fu 
Theatre has a stage area of 196 square meters and 928 audience seats.
